Welcome September...

September starts tomorrow, I can't believe it...this summer flew by! I just walked my son down to the bus to start the second grade. He wouldn't get on the bus because he didn't recognize the driver, ha ha. (I had to explain that there is probably a new driver this year that will get him safely there. :)

We already have lots planned for September here at Lizzie Anne. A few highlights:

1. Tomorrow the September Mix set, Treasured Trinkets, starts shipping! If you've been thinking about joining the Mix Club now is a great time. (And don't forget as a new Mix Member you can request a past Mix set for only $10!) I've posted a few September Mix cards below!
2. Tomorrow we also reveal our new September Singles of the Month!
3. The LAD September newsletter goes out this week. If you haven't subscribed to the newsletter yet, you can do it HERE.
4. Our Design Team Challenge will be on the 13th this month and will feature some fabulous fall cards!
5. Our October Mix Set previews on September 15th
6. And last but certainly not least we have a mini-stamp release happening on September 20th where we will be releasing two new Little Bits stamp sets and matching digital paper!

We're ready for some fun fall stamping, are you?!

This card features the "fill-able frame" from the September set. There are several sentiments that fit inside this frame that are included in this set! Also the leaf branch in the background.

Weekly Sketch Challenge # 140!

Number 140? Really? That's a lot of sketch challenges! This week I'm bringing you a very simple sketch, with a twist that makes me smile. Ready?

The sketch is designed for a square card - and mine is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". Why so small? Well, that's the twist -- make a card that is perfect for "note" size. Something sweet you can slip in your kids' lunchbox, or backpack. Or your husband's briefcase. Or on someone's desk, to brighten their morning. It's all about making something small that will bring a big smile to another person's day!

My card uses the School Days set, and it is going in the front pocket of my daughter's lunchbox. She starts kindergarten next week - I so wish I could be there to see her smile when she gets this!

Taylor's Picks of the Week

Hi everyone, it's Taylor here. I wanted to share some great samples from the Sketchbook this week. I did some digging and found more than a few amazing projects that featured some of the Lizzie Anne Designs Simply Singles stamps!

This adorable Girl Scout is a vision in pink and brown, isn't she? Jeni did a great job on this little sweetie!

Jeanne made a stunning sympathy card using the Treasured Memories single. I love how soothing it is.

 

This card just makes me chuckle...Tiffany dreams up the cutest ideas! Of course the Cheerleader wants the Football Player to call her, doesn't she?? The phone and sentiment are part of the From the Heart monthly mix.

Here is another take on the Football Player. Joslyn did a great job with the masculine colors on this one!

And this last beauty is from Lauren - it's such an elegant Get Well Soon card that also uses the Damask set.

I love all of these Simply Singles stamps, and these cards have really inspired me to get a few out and make some things!

Design Team Challenge

Today is Design Team Challenge Day! I say this every month, but this is my favorite Design Team project. This month is especially fun because you get to really see some examples of what inspires these talented ladies when they are stamping. You might be surprised!

This month's challenge is to take a photo of something you love and use it as inspiration for your card.

Time for School

As summer is coming to an end and the kids are heading back to school I thought it would be the perfect time to highlight some of my favorite school themed Lizzie Anne stamps. 

This adorable card from Maren uses the the School Days Little Bits set. I love the design on this! And those papers have the perfect retro school feel to them!

What teacher wouldn't love to receive a sweet treat like this one from Joslyn? Love the way she hung the books and pencil like charms. I can't wait to give that a try!!!

This fun card from Rose Ann brings back fond memories of riding the school bus everyday! That bus is one of my favorite stamps in the Things That Go Little Bits set!
