I mean, who doesn't? They are wonderful gifts to give, to receive, and really come in handy. But I recently got bored with the rectangular bookmark, or the the small corner ones. So I came up with a new one! Now, I'm sure someone has already done this, but I haven't nor have I seen it. Cross my heart, Scout's honor :)
Mine is a wee bit crooked, because I stamped the Love Tattoo a little to one side. But not so much I couldn't still use it, so I went for it!
Here's how I made it:
- I started by stamping the image at the bottom of the page, lengthwise.
- I then figured out by eye where the backside needed to end, just at the edges of the leaves
- I cut to there, and the used Copics to color my image.
- Once colored, I cut it out with paper snips.
- I paper pierced around the edge and highlighted them with a white gel pen.
- I used the "Love" sentiment from the "So Much Love" set to stamp it three times at the top.
- On the inside I adhered two small magnets on each side, to make sure it would stay put in a book.
And it was that simple! Thanks for stopping by to check it out - I hope you like it!
